Attending school in the Oak Grove School District

I have been totally entertained by stories of times at the Oak Grove School and others of the area. The Oak Grove School opened in 1909. Years later it burned and was rebuilt in 1920. That school was used until the time it closed in 1954.
It originally had a primer and grades first through 11th. There were six rooms and a gym. There was a homemaking room and a shop. At one time, classes went to a certain level and then students were bused to Kildare School.
