KENNETH O. MOORE

Kenneth O. Moore, 75, of Bivins, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in a Shreveport, La., hospital surrounded by family.

He was born May 9, 1935, in Atlanta to Dewey and Lola Williams Moore. After graduating from Atlanta High School, he went on to work for SWEPCO for 15 years. He retired from Shell Oil after 22 years and worked for numerous other corporations. He retired from Texarkana ISD after 10 years. He was a past member of Westside Baptist Church and a current member of Good Exchange Baptist Church of McLeod. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie Moore of Bivins; and the mother of his children, Bertha Moore of Atlanta; two sons, Randy Moore and wife Teresa of Atlanta and Ronnie Moore and wife Peggy of Texarkana; two sisters, Dulene Taylor and husband Author Ray of Atlanta and, Billie Jean Alexander and husband Glenn of Logansport, La.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Keith Arnold of Temple, Sherry Keener of Bivins and Angela Landreth of Bivins, nine step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Amador Santos officiating. Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery in Atlanta.
