Ouida L. Thompson, 92, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Aug.17, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
She was born Nov. 1, 1920, to Asa and Ocalla Childree. She was owner and operator of Paul’s Cleaners and was a homemaker. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church and loved playing skip-Bo and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul Thompson.
She is survived by one son, Charlie Thompson and wife Janet of Atlanta; one daughter, Tina Pond and husband Billy of Atlanta; one brother, Johnny Bud Childree of Georgia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, at the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jim Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
