Richardson gives update on premature son Brody

Nathan Richardson spoke at a press conference Friday at his home in New Boston. The Red River Army Depot employee originally questioned about ricin-laced letters that were sent to the President, is now home, he says, attempting to rebuild normalcy in his life.
Richardson gave a statement about the premature birth and current condition of his son Brody Nathaniel Richardson.
The baby, not due until October, has been in stable condition, though he is only about two pounds in weight. The child undergoes surgery this week. Richardson told the Citizens Journal that doctors and nurses have so far been impressed with the child’s strength and calm given his size and condition. Richardson has yet to hold or see his son in person. This fact, he attributed to security and a minor illness he is recovering from that could have been detrimental to Brody’s fragile immune system.
