MAC L. BEARSS

God called the Rev. Mac L. Bearss, 72, of Atlanta, to his heavenly peace on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013.
He served as Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atlanta. He has been in the ministry as a layman since in 1970, and entered the seminary to become a pastor in 1980. He loved the Lord and was passionate about sharing his saving faith in Jesus Christ. One of the family’s favorite memories was his nightly routine of eating a big bowl of pecan praline ice cream and a game of Cribbage.
His parents Leroy and Birdena Bearss preceded him in death. 
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Jennifer; their three children, Kimberly Bearss of Pueblo, Colo., Gregory Bearss and wife Kristi of Hot Springs, Ark., and Suzanne Bearss of Denver, Colo.; his five lovely grandchildren Brittany, Marissa, Madeline, Andrew and Lydia; his sister Ronna Griffin; brother, Richard Bearss; 90-year-old aunt, June Wurtz; and several cousins in Michigan. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Queen City Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Laws Chapel. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 14, in Pueblo at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
