JAMES CARROLL TREADWAY

April 17, 1940 - July 23, 2013

James Carroll Treadway, 73, of Texarkana, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. 

He was born April 17, 1940, in Queen City. He was a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church and was an avid outdoorsman.

His son, Jason Dev Treadway; his parents, Jim Treadway and Naomi Treadway; and his sister, Judy Steger, precede him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Treadway of Texarkana; daughters, Jamee Shackelford of Queen City and Trish Mitchell and husband Jason of Wake Village; his sisters, Margaret Whatley and husband Charles of New Boston, Mary Coffey of Atlanta, Patricia Hunt and husband Joe of Atlanta and Jeanette Kessler and husband Gary of Atlanta; and four grandchildren.

He was a beloved husband, father and “Papa T” and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

The Treadway family will host a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Queen City Funeral Home

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Queen City Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chapelwood Cemetery in Nash Texas under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home.
