STIRLING V. LOFTON

Stirling V. Lofton, 55, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 20, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 30, 1957, in Baton Rouge, La., to Thomas and Sue Lofton. He was the Building Superintendent for First Baptist Church in Atlanta for 27 years. He was a very active member and loved by his entire church family. In his spare time, he was a master woodworker, enjoyed riding motorcycles and played the bass guitar.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lylah Lofton of Atlanta; a son, Aaron Lofton of Dallas; two daughters, Jennie Tomlin and husband Will of Bossier City, La., and Meagan Lofton of Atlanta; parents, Thomas and Sue Lofton of Denham Springs, La.; a brother, Thomas Allen Lofton of Denham Springs, La.; a sister, Rhonda O’Neill of Walker, La.; one granddaughter, Madison Tomlin of Atlanta; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p. m, Monday, July 22, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at First Baptist Church in Atlanta with Bro. Joe Srygley and Gary Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Laws Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
