Pleasant Hope church closes its doors

Pleasant Hope Primitive Baptist Church first opened its doors at this location, in Huffines, in the 1880s.  On Sunday, May 26, church closed its doors for the final time.
There was a sermon, given by Elder CC Morris of Hawkins, Texas. Following this was the church’s final communion service, which included the old time custom of members washing each other’s feet.  http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Atlanta1//Magazine28109/Full/index.aspx?id=28109
