MUMS students bring home trophies in UIL state contest

Jay Patel, eighth grade, received first place in number sense, first place in calculator and first place general math.
The Morris Upchurch Middle School Math and Science Team competed in San Antonio at the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association State Championship meet on Saturday, April 6.
The number sense team, calculator team, general math team and science team brought home first place team trophies. After the four events, Queen City won the AA First Place sweepstakes trophy as well.
