Balcony support causes a holdup

Is there support for balconies in downtown Linden? That has been the unresolved question for almost a year now as one property owner on East Houston Street has tried to gain approval to install a balcony. 
Mayor Clarence Burns held a joint meeting with concerned parties and council members to address the balcony right-of-way issue last week. The meeting follows a city council meeting held March 11, where property owner Anna Allen, her lawyer and engineer discussed adding a balcony to the facade at 121 E.
