GSMC-Linden to host "A Fair of the Heart"

Good Shepherd Medical Center-Linden staff invites all area residents to join them for their annual "A Fair of the Heart" community health fair.

Linden’s largest community health fair will be held from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the hospital, 404 N. Kaufman St.

"A Fair of the Heart" provides community residents the opportunity to receive free health screenings, get valuable health information and learn more about GSMC-Linden’s services.

Clinical tests valued at more than $100 include a complete lipid profile, glucose testing, blood pressure, pulse oximetry and body fat analysis and are available for adults free of charge. Fasting is recommended prior to the event for the most accurate results.

In addition to the many valuable health screenings, guests can visit health information stations that will educate attendees on a range of topics and programs offered at GSMC-Linden, including outpatient diabetes education and cardiac rehab programs, support groups, Level III Stroke Center, Swing Bed Program, Good Shepherd Home Health, ClassiCare, Auxiliary and more.

Champion EMS will also be on site offering ambulance tours in their mobile intensive care units. Healthy refreshments will be served and fun giveaways will be offered at this free public event.
