ODELL RANDALL MOORE

March 21, 1924 - Feb. 8, 2013

Odell Randall Moore, 88, of Atlanta went to be with the Lord Feb. 8, 2013. He was born on March 21, 1924, in Hosston, La., and was one of fourteen children. He was a World War II veteran, who held the rank of Master Sergeant. A 1948 graduate of Northwestern State University at Natchitoches, La., he was a member of Chi Omega Chi, a national honor society in business.  He retired from United Gas Pipeline Company in 1986, after 37 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atlanta.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary McLeod Moore; his son Randy Moore and wife Ellen and their daughter Megan; his daughter Mary Anne Westfall and husband Dave; his son Keith Moore and wife Cindy and their three sons: Jared Moore and wife Dana and their three daughters, McKenzie, McKalah & McKenna; Joshua and wife Nicole; Jayson and wife Stephanie and their children, Laynie and Jacob; his sisters, Lucille French, Iva Todd, Pearl Stochfisch, Louise Todd and Helen Johnson; and brothers Eldredge Moore, Leon Moore and James Moore.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at First United Methodist Church in Atlanta with Rev. Guy Williams officiating. Interment followed at Huffines Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Serving as pallbearers were sons, Randy and Keith Moore; son-in-law, Dave Westfall; and grandsons, Jared, Joshua and Jayson Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Ben Belk, Dr. Roy Cook and George Graves.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Dierksen Memorial Hospice, 6500 Summerhill Rd, Suite 2B, Texarkana, TX  75503.
