LINDEN-- Ronald Walker must have liked the accommodations at the Cass County Detention Center because the day after he was released he found himself back in jail in Bowie County.

According to a Texarkana (Texas) police spokesman Walker was released from Cass County on Nov. 15.

Police say that when he got to his Texarkana home he discovered that his furniture and other possessions had been taken.

Family members told police they removed the items to prevent them from being stolen while Walker was incarcerated.

Angered by the discovery, police say that Walker retrieved a rifle and took to the streets to locate his property.

After receiving a tip, police located Walker who initially refused to surrender. Police were able to eventually restrain him.

Walker has been charged with felon in possession or a firearm and evading arrest. Possession of a firearm by a felon is both a violation of state and federal law.
