Atlanta ISD honors employees at annual banquet held June 5

The Atlanta Independent School District Board of Trustees hosted a banquet at the Atlanta Middle School gymnasium Thursday, June 5, to honor AISD employees and bid farewell to retirees.
Board President Joel Steger welcomed the crowd of 400 plus and related something he read online, “Most employees want to be appreciated and to have that appreciation verbalized.” To that end, last year the AISD trustees began a tradition in order to reward long-time service to the district.
He thanked the maintenance staff at AISD, Ben Rice and his staff, Donna Rice and the Atlanta Education Foundation (AEF) for all their work to stage the splendid event.
