Atlanta Middle wins UIL Meet

Atlanta Middle School continued its run of wins at the Fall Invitational last week, extending the streak to 31. 
The two-day event was split between First Baptist Church-Atlanta and Texarkana College, with Atlanta taking home the gold by a mere four points.
“This was my first year at the middle school campus and I was very impressed by the teamwork and dedication by all involved,” said AMS UIL coordinator Misty Williams. 
Paris Junior High placed second at the event, Paris-North Lamar took third and Pittsburg walked away with fourth place. 
“I’m so incredibly proud of all of the kids and teachers who put in the time and effort to make it possible continue our winning tradition,” said AMS principal Jay Wylie. 
The results of all Atlanta students who placed at the meet are as follows: Fifth grade Art Memory: Fourth-Anna Daniels; Sixth-Mishon Henderson. Sixth grade Art Memory: Third-Cruz Alonzo; Fourth -Clay Fant; Sixth -Anthony Gonzalez. Seventh grade Art Memory: Fourth –Noah Hunt; Fifth- Chloe Thomas. Eighth grade Art Memory: Fourth -Cailyn Moore; Fifth-Brant Rosser; Sixth-Caleb Dowda-Tied.
