L-K graduates receive $464K in scholarships

Linden-Kildare High School seniors received $464,000 in scholarships on May 15. Councilor Stacy Alexander said 21 graduating seniors received scholarships of the 49 students in the senior class.
There was $134,000 in local scholarships presented and $330,000 in college scholarships.
Superintendent Dr. James Cowley said he was pleased that so many students received scholarships but that it wasn’t enough. He wants to see every student at L-K receive a scholarship. He is working to bring L-K Promise to L-K so that every student who attends L-K High School can graduate and received a full scholarship to attend a four year college or technical school.
