Cass County to seek bids for insurance

Cass County Commissioners agreed to publish a bid request during court held May 12 for property and casualty insurance coverage for fiscal years 2014-2016.
Cass County Auditor Tammy Wells said request for proposal packets can be picked up starting on Wednesday, May 14.
Bids are due by 3 p.m. Aug. 8. Proposals will be opened in court at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 11 and accepted at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 25.
In other business, commissioners adopted a resolution read by County Extension agent Pam Lincoln acknowledging the 100th anniversary of the extension service. Lincoln also presented commissioners Building a Better Texas award.
Commissioners approved minutes from previous meeting, the financial report and expenses for payment.
